Large U.S. Home Improvement Retailer
OBJECTIVE:

Determine the optimal discounting strategy to sell inventory on clearance while maximizing revenue.

APPROACH:

Mather used outputs from internal modeling to verify the optimal clearance discount pricing over time.  The project team was able to automate an internal process that required significant manual effort, and this time saving enabled application of the modeling approach to be applied to hundreds of products.  Mather also conducted separate price modeling to measure the effect of price changes on sales volumes.
