Ashraf (Ash) Ahmed is the Senior Enterprise Architect, leading the teams responsible for building and scaling the core data platforms and software at Mather. He works to align engineering resources with strategic business goals, overseeing the development of AI-powered paywalls and site automation tools that drive significant improvements in product margins and customer retention. Ash brings two decades of experience to the firm, spanning early-stage startups and global enterprises.

A former startup founder, he combines an entrepreneurial approach to rapid prototyping with deep technical expertise in cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and real-time data processing. His work focuses on creating simple, scalable solutions for complex problems, having successfully architected platforms that manage petabytes of data for real-time analytics. Prior to his current role, Ash served as a Lead System Architect for various technology firms and was the Co-founder and Head of Engineering at Athletigen, where he pioneered the use of Machine Learning to process genetic data in high stake domain.

Ash holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, where his research focused on Information Geometry and Statistical Learning. He also holds a BS in Statistics and Neuroscience from Dalhousie University and a BS in Computer Science from Mansoura University
