Happy reading!

Hi Luca, tell us a bit more about your role in Mather, and for how long you’ve been a part of our team?

LP: I am an Analytics & Revenue Strategist with focus on EU clients, hence why I work in our EU office in Belgium. I have been working at Mather for 8 months now!

Can you describe your typical day at work?

LP: A typical day at work often includes: client meetings, data analysis, alignment meetings with US colleagues, translation of clients’ requests into concrete actions and lots of planning as well!

What inspired you to pursue a career in your field?

LP: Back in the day when I was in high school, I always noticed the gap between the worlds of business and IT. I can say that I have been trying to figure out how to fill in that gap ever since. Thanks to the help of some coding knowledge and my degrees in economics, I was able to find a way to communicate with different profiles such as sales persons, data scientists and data engineers, and be able to bridge these two worlds together.

What do you enjoy most about working at our company?

LP: I’d say the fact that I get to speak different languages on a daily basis, all while having the opportunity to analyze such varied datasets. Also, coming from finance, I find it fascinating that I can learn from different experts from the media industry.

What’s the most challenging aspect of your job, and how do you overcome it?

LP: Managing clients’ expectations is definitely the toughest aspect to deal with. Luckily at Mather, we have people who have worked in the industry for very long time. Until today, I continue learning from my colleagues, and their knowledge certainly helps when it comes to dealing with difficult tasks/clients.

Can you share a tip for maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

LP: I’m Italian, so I’d start by saying that a healthy diet is an absolute must. You need to add physical exercise on your daily life and also some other relaxing activities which depend on each person. For me reading and “forest bathing” are my two most essential ones.

How has working at Mather impacted your personal or professional growth?

LP: I used to work in the finance industry and there certain things can become slow and hard to change. Here at Mather I’m finally challenged to go the extra mile and progress in a fast manner. I’ll admit that some days can be more challenging than others, but that gives me the opportunity to improve and learn faster than I have ever been able to before.

Is there a project or initiative you’re excited about for the future of Mather?

LP: There isn’t yet a particular project I can mention, but the overall trend is very exciting. Now with our new colleagues from Sophi, new colleagues joining the EU office, new markets and clients becoming more interested in our services here in Europe, there is going to be so much to do. I can certainly say that the best is yet to come!
